Get Plenty of Sleep

You want to make sure that the night before your pictures are going to be taken that you have plenty of sleep after a nice meal. Being well-fed and well-rested will lead to you looking your best when it comes to your pictures. Don't schedule your photo session for the very first thing in the morning, because you want to have the time to eat your breakfast and get your family ready to go. 

Be Prepared

Another thing you want to do is to make sure that you are all prepared for the shoot. One way you can do that is to make sure that you have all the outfits set up the night before, so all you have to do is have everyone get dressed when it's time to go. Make sure that when you are getting all the outfits ready that you put any accessories that are necessary with the outfits too. You don't want to have to rush around looking for all the little bits and pieces that you need to finish the outfit off. You also want to make sure that you have anything that you need to keep your kids happy during the shoot, like toys or snacks.
